Hey guys!!

First, I hope everyone’s Christmas and New Year holiday was great and that everyone had gotten some cool presents. The past 7 months have been some of the busiest I’d ever experienced, with graduate school and working 2 jobs; really 3 jobs when I had a dog-walking client thrown in the mix.

But I had found some time to travel with a friend on her vacation to The Bahamas so here’s some pictures that I had taken. This was my 2nd time traveling to The Bahamas, but the first time that I've left on a cruise out of Baltimore. Those of you who are my friends on facebook will be seeing them again for a second time, apologies.

I totally fail with not updating as much here as I've been doing on twitter =( I've been writing at night right before bed, and then realizing that I've stayed up too late and need to get to bed. So since writing on twitter is faster, I've been updating there. But in the end, I've written about 36,000 words, which doesn't win me the challenge, but it's a good start!

Yeah I'm kinda bummed about it, but in addition to this, I've also been working 2 jobs and have graduate school homework almost every night. So the fact that I was even able to get that far says a lot =) So yes, this was fun and I'm definitely doing it next year, and I'll win it =) Now, what I've already written will be undergoing a major overhaul. Oh man, I can't even imagine thegreymoon's face if she ever saw the 51 pages I've typed *face palm*

But writing it had helped me map out some things, like my main characters and my villains. But as far as the plot... yeah I'm gonna head back to the drawing board for that. 

In other news, me and a friend are heading on a cruise next week. We set sail on Sunday and I'm so excited!! But of course I'll be missing a week from school, which means I have to turn in 2 weeks worth of work to my teachers, and that blows =_= So I have been just doing homework and more homework. But in a couple of days, I'll be relaxing on the sun deck of the boat and on the beaches of The Bahamas *cheers*

So day 10 had just ended and I'm up to 6200 words. Not bad =) but I'll keep plugging away this weekend, or what's left of it. Sometimes that scale on the website that says where I should be at Day 10 can be a little discouraging. And then I realize that there's still plenty of time and I'll get there by the deadline. Sadly, I have to work tomorrow until 5 and I have homework that's due by midnight. So that 1000-word sprint I'd wanted to do may not happen, but we'll see what the day brings. A smart person would try to knock out some of that homework tonight before, but I'm gonna take my butt to bed instead.

So yeah... off to a slow start. First, went to the kitchen to make some tea and there was ZERO honey in the house =_= I ended up making it with lemon juice and sugar (which I used to like) but it wasn't the same =(

And then, I was drawing a complete blank on the original idea I was going to work with. So I thought to just write about another story idea I'd been toying with, and only managed to get about 100 words down. 

Work today (3 hour shift turned into a 7 hour shift) and my class ate up my writing time so I'm hoping to carve out some time later this weekend. I'm such a perfectionist that it's hard to adjust myself when I can't always do everything right when I want it. *sigh* It's a process lol!

So I'm a little sad at this slow start but it's a start nonetheless ^_^

Hey people!

Yesterday I auditioned for a theater house that was casting for their new season. So this isn't the 1st time I've auditioned (duh!) but it was the 1st time I was using a new monologue so of course I was nervous. But the great thing is that it went really well! The producer loved it and said I was a totally different person during the audition from when I introduced myself to her, which is a good thing!

Hey guys!

Just popping up on here to update y'all on what's been happening. 

Grad school has been keeping me very busy, with the required reading and assignments and all. It's not too bad, but it does eat up a lot of my time. I'm glad that I only work part-time but now, my writing time has been reduced for now. Only 6 more months until winter break, lol! But I'm learning a lot so far ^_^

I've decided that I will leave the nest in the fall or winter and build a life in a new city, which I'm really excited about! I've narrowed it down to about 4 cities and am still doing some research, but I can't wait! And, depending on where I move, I may even have a roommate! And this led me to my next decision: I'm going to chill on the audition traveling for the time being. I've been spending a lot of money on bus tickets to NY for auditions and I'd rather use that money to print off headshots and mail them out. Sure it'll take longer, but I think the end result will be worth it ^_^

So this past Thursday, I took a bus to New York for an audition. I was really excited about this one mainly because instead of having us do a monologue, they were going to have us read sides.
